Shia LaBeouf is hospitalized in Los Angeles Hospital for a hand injury and a DUI count because of the morning car crash accident he was involved in. The incident happend around 2am when LaBeouf was allegedly about to make a left turn on his Ford F150 truck and struck another vehicle causing his car to roll over twice.

The female driving the other vehicle and LaBeouf's passenger suffered minor injuries and was released immediately from Cedars-Medical Center after being treated.

Excerpt from E! News,

"He was arrested for a misdemeanor. He was booked and cited at the hospital," L.A. County Sheriff Watch Commander Sgt. Scott Wolf tells E! News. "No prints were taken and no photos were taken."
Since it was only a misdemeanor citation, LaBeouf was not required to pay any bail, Wolf said. The actor was given an August court date.

LaBeouf's rep released this statement,

"Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on July 27, 2008. Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time."
